Alrighty. So, like many of us in the hobby, I have a massive pile of shame opportunity. I am committed to reducing this and so I've decided to do a little hobby sprint to get my Adepta Sororitas combat patrol built and painted to table ready standards. The goal here is to do some hobbying every day until these 27 models are complete. Now I paint really slowly and I also have a holidy planned in July so let me just state that since I won't be 100% done by July there'll be a bit of a break in the action. Here's what I've got to get done:
Canoness (1)
The canoness is almost ready for shading which will bring her to table ready standard. There's a few elements I need to finish up. I'm using the painting guide from the Citadel Colour app almost exactly. The main difference is the weapon casings are using Corvus Black rather than Abbadon Black to make the weapons a bit different from the armor.
Battle Sisters Squad (10 + cherub)
As with the the Canoness, I'm using the Citadel Colour app as a guide. Other than weapon casings, no major differences.
Arco-Flagellant Squad (10)
These guys are still on the sprue so I haven't dived into the painting plan yet. But guess what - I'm probably going to use the guide in the app. Skin tones are where I'll be playing around which is horrifying since I can't paint skin well to save my life.
Celestian Sacresants (5)
Yep. From the painting app. These are probably going to be the last ones I do since I'm missing some paint to get the shields done.
Stretch - Sanctifier Kill Team (11)
If I haven't had an imperial burnout I'm going to try and get the Sanctifier Kill team done as well. I haven't finalized a paint scheme for these models yet but I'm likely going to go with something similar to the box art. Considering that I almost always stay true to the Citadel Paint app's suggestions - mostly, it shouldn't be too tricky to find the right colours.
So lots to do but I've already made some progress (as you can see from the pictures). I'll be updating my Instagram and Bluesky accounts with progress. Ideally there'll be a before and after photo each day. Should I be working on a different project like getting my World Eaters to tournament level status or my Legions Imperialis? Probably. But this is what I'm doing.
