Predictable

It occurs to me that the post, iToysoldiers is Dead. Long Live iToysoldiers is essentially the same post I made about two years ago. Same title and essentially the same content. Yeah, I've been bouncing around trying to sort out what I wanted out of iToysoldiers and now I have it.

Next week I'll be releasing the site with work flow features so that I can identify where models are in my work flow. I'm reasonably happy with it. My main issue right now is that it's not easy to go back and back date workflow elements. They're time stamped at the time when the status is set. Going forward this is great but it does mean some horror around the idea of going back and generating history. So I'm not going to do that. Instead, the work flow will be accurate from the time I've evaluated an entry in my DB. For "added to the collection" dates I'll use a date that can be modified, specifically the accession date. It'll work.

The cool thing is that once the workflow states are populated on the various bits of my collection I can start displaying stat visualizations and that's going to be amazing. I'm so excited about this project and it's coming along nicely. Of course working on this is cutting into working on models but I'm cool with that.
