I'm starting a new hobby project!
Nope. Not that.
Yep. Legion of the Damned.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I never finish projects so starting a new one seems counter-intuitive. I also fail to keep this blog updated so why bother posting? Because it's fun. It's a hobby. And It's something to do. Anyway. I have always been kind of enamoured with the Legion of the Damned. I generally don't go Imperial (with a few exceptions) and when I was deciding on my last mostly abandoned project it was a toss up between the Adepta Sororitas and the Legion. Well... I was watching terrible movies - specifically Ghost Rider 2 and the idea of putting together a display Legion of the Damned tickled me. It doesn't hurt that there's a Legion of the Damned kill team coming soon either.
This is what I ultimately see in my head. It's an image from the remarkably talented tsevetar. If mine end up looking even partially as good I'll be a happy boy. I like the look of the black armor being the result of burned iron. To that end I'm using the metallic black recipe from the Warhammer Colour app. I'll probably use the Fiery Black for the parts near the flame 'cause I'm not terribly good at adding light effects. I'll be using the Flame recipe for the flames.
